Fr Roddy Johnston 2011 - 2019 -
Fr Roddy was appointed Parish Priest on February 8th 2011. In a way, his appointment was a bit of a homecoming, since his great grandmother was born and raised in Stornoway. .
This is the first time that a priest of Argyll and the Isles has been appointed to the parish and ends many years of ministry from the Jesuits and latterly the Dominicans. While so thankful for the years of mission work from religious orders, the presence of a Diocesan priest does help to bring the parish into a stronger sense of communion with the rest of the Diocese.It was at the age of 42 that Fr Roddy was ordained as a priest.
